Workshop
The studio Aequo works on the brick under all its facets, in particular by rethinking relevant and artistic ways to use the waste generated in the construction. In this context, several workshops will be conducted at the CID of Grand-Hornu to discover the possibilities of brick and experiment with them. The different audiences will be invited to bring their own touch to the exhibition since the creations will take place within the exhibition itself. In June, the exhibition will be finished in a festive way, where everyone will be able to come and pick up their creations and take a part of the exhibition home with them.
The brick dust is a new raw material for the duo of designers, coming from the cutting of the brick or the crushing of fragments. This brick-colored pigment is mixed with a binder that allows it to be transformed into oil paint, watercolor, silkscreen ink or acrylic paint.
In this workshop, the public will be invited to draw on paper from this brick pigment in the form of watercolor.
