Description

Born in La Louvière in 1977, Benoît Deneufbourg studied interior design at Saint-Luc (Brussels) in 2001. With a passion for design, he has developed a modest yet cohesive collection of furniture, objects and lighting. A sober and functional design, a welcoming world. His interest in materials and manufacturing processes leads him to seek effective solutions, characterised by great simplicity.

The first part of the exhibition focuses on products developed by the designer on an experimental basis or for various brands. The processes involved in the creation of each object are detailed through sketches, plans, samples, prototypes and photographs. He generously invites the public to understand the entire manufacturing process, with its experiments, tests, doubts and choices.

The second part of the exhibition is dedicated to Benoît Deneufbourg’s work as an interior designer. Plans, drawings, samples, research and reflections document the completed projects. For this exhibition, he has created two full-scale installations: the interior design of an artist’s residence and the renovation of the Grand-Hornu cafeteria, where visitors are invited to make themselves at home.
